AIRPHIL EXPRESS LAUNCHES DIRECT FLIGHTS TO ZAMBOANGA


Airphil Express, the Philippines’s newest and fastest growing low cost carrier continues to gear up its inter-island network as it opens more direct flights within the nation.

The airline has just announced details of its new services to Zamboanga. Zamboanga represents the ninth new A320 route announced in the past five months, bringing the carrier’s network to 28 destinations.

Direct and daily flights to Zamboanga from Manila will commence of October 1, 2010, with an additional daily service to be added from December 1, 2010. Introductory fares will be available until September 30, 2010 for as low as Php1,888 (inclusive of VAT).

“We are pleased at the addition of Zamboanga into our network, as our services here allows us to add yet another hub of commerce and trade into our ever-expanding network,” said Bettina de Vera, Corporate Communications Manager at Airphil Express. She added, “This new route will be operated by our next addition to the Airphil Express fleet in October – another brand new 180-seater A320 aircraft, which we are also very excited about.”

With the additional jet aircraft, double daily flights to Tagbilaran and Legaspi will also be mounted on December 1, 2010, shortly after their launch services on October 28, 2010.

AIRPHIL EXPRESS OPENS DIRECT FLIGHTS TO CEBU AND DAVAO

Airphil Express is excited to announce another milestone as it launches direct and daily flights to Cebu and Davao beginning July 21, 2010.

Since the re-launch of the airline with its new brand name and the acquisition of its new Airbus A320s, Airphil Express has grown its business remarkably. Initially flying its jets to routes such as Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo and Puerto Princesa, the introduction of more destinations in its A320 route network signifies its progressive and resolute move to becoming the region’s leading low cost carrier.

“Launching direct flights to Cebu and Davao marks our resurgence in the domestic arena, and are key as we expand our route network. These two major hubs pave the way for the introduction of more aircraft in the 4th quarter of this year, and will allow us to better address the demands of the travelling public,” said Airphil Express Corporate Communications Manager, Bettina de Vera.

Airphil Express flies to 24 domestic destinations from Manila and Cebu. Direct flights from Manila are to Bacolod, Busuanga, Cagayan De Oro, Calbayog, Catarman, Boracay (Caticlan and Kalibo), Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Masbate, Naga, Ormoc, Puerto Princesa, San Jose, Surigao, Tagbilaran and Tuguegarao. The Cebu hub caters to flights to Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Boracay (Caticlan), Iloilo and Tacloban. It also flies direct from Busuanga to Puerto Princesa.
