Airphil Express launches APX Zamboanga Hub: to fly to Jolo, Tawi, Davao

Burgeoning low cost carrier Airphil Express (APX) continues its aggressive expansion into the Mindanao regions with the relaunch of its Zamboanga station into a hub for both short inter-island service as well as inter-city jet routes.

Starting September 10, Airphil Express will fly thrice weekly to Jolo and four times weekly to Tawi-tawi. The inter island service will be serviced by its premier Bombardier aircraft, the Q400, known for its jet-like speed and fuel efficiency. Airphil Express flies is fast, fuel efficient Bombardier Q400 aircraft on the inter-island route. The market has responded well to the new offering, evident in the full capacity of the aircraft on its first flights today.

Introductory fares start at P703 one way to Jolo and Tawi-tawi. Cargo requirements can be arranged through Airphil Express agents located in downtown Zamboanga, Jolo and Tawi-tawi or at the airport ticket offices.

Zamboanga business will also see daily flights to Davao and Cebu starting September 10. With the highly anticipated delivery of its brand new Airbus A320 aircraft later in the month, Zamboanga hub operations will expand to offer direct daily jet routes to Manila as well.
